| The
Quality Control team, working jointly with the production units, operate through a number
of ''Quality Control Cells'' that closely monitor the various stages of manufacture in
every production shop. ''Quality Circles'' ensure a vibrant exchange of views. Testing is the indispensable foundation of quality assurance at BEC. The testing facilities are duly calibrated and certified by Government approved and Lloyd's agencies. BEC's laboratories are capable of undertaking every kind of test -- Metallurgical Microphotography, Gamma Ray Radiography, Ultrasonic Flaw Detection, Magnetic Flaw Detection, Dye Penetration and Hydraulic Pressure tests, Mechanical testing for tensile and impact strength, computerised Spectrometric Analysis of Steel.. among others. At BEC, Quality Control Parameters ensure to maintain ISO-9002 standards. The endeavour is to keep the Quality Control personnel independent of the production units in terms of decision taken and have them report directly to the manager, Quality Control. |
